Safeway will donate a $14,000 sales bonus from the Washington Lottery to the Seattle Breast Center to further breast cancer awareness and treatment.
The Fairmont Village Safeway in Lake Stevens was the first store to sell a Lotto jackpot-winning ticket in the new Lotto game that eliminated the gold ball.
Retailers who sell jackpot winners receive 1 percent of the take. An Everett woman who bought her ticket at the Lake Stevens store won $1.4 million on Oct. 16.
