Rotary welcomes district governor
District Governor Larry Stinson visits the Rotary Club of Everett Port Gardner at 7:15 a.m. today at Everett Golf and Country Club, bringing news of Rotary International’s “Wipe Out Polio” campaign.
Stinson, from British Columbia and a member of the Chilliwack Rotary Club, represents cross-border Rotary clubs, including ones in Everett, Marysville, Mukilteo and Snohomish.
Stinson will talk about Rotary’s role in immunizing more than 2 billion children worldwide against polio.
‘Red Tent’ book chat in Mill Creek
The Mill Creek Evening Book Group invites folks to a book discussion led by Roy DeSoto.
They will discuss Anita Diamant’s book “Red Tent” at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mill Creek Library, 15429 Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek.
“Red Tent” is a novel set in biblical times.
