AquaSox food drive helps those in need
High food and gas prices are putting the pinch on Snohomish County’s food banks. United Way of Snohomish County and Volunteers of America Western Washington are teaming up with the Everett AquaSox to help out with a food drive.
Bring donations of canned meat and vegetables, soup, peanut butter and other food staples through Friday to the barrel by the south entrance to Memorial Stadium.
Show how to save energy; win a TV
The Snohomish County PUD is looking for videos that show creative ways to conserve energy and water in your home or business.
Make them laugh, cry or say: “Why didn’t we think of that?”
Judd and Black is donating the big prize, an LCD Energy Star high-definition TV.
There is also a way to enter written ideas, or send pictures, that may be used in future advertising.
Check out the full rules at www.snopud.com.
