Become an Explosion Idol
Compete to become an Explosion Idol from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at The Rock Church, 16891 146th St. SE, Monroe.
Try out by singing the national anthem in front of a judges’ panel. Winners will sing before an Explosion basketball game this spring.
Register at 11 a.m. at the church. Donations will be accepted to support the Explosion Dance Team directed by Sky Valley Academy.

Applications will also be accepted the day of the event.

Iranian-American forum set tonight
Peace Action plans a forum on Iran and Iranian-American relations at 6:30 tonight at Everett Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett.
Rezr Firouzbakht, president of the Washington chapter of the National Iranian American Council, and Fred Miller, president of Peace Action of Washington, will talk about Iran’s people and aspirations for their nation.
Miller said they will discuss steps the United States can take to build a relationship with Iran that lowers threats, reduces oppression, and helps bring peace and justice to the Middle East.
