Arlington teens can discover the future

Visit a Teen Fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Arlington Boys &Girls Club, 18513 59th Ave. NE, Arlington.

The event, sponsored by the Smokey Point Community Services Office of the Department of Social and Health Services, is called Pathways to the Future, Beyond High School. Have some pizza and speak with representatives from the Center for Career Alternatives, Work Force Development Council, Cocoon House, Planned Parenthood, the military, employers, Everett Community College, union apprenticeship programs and Job Corps.

Registration opens for Camp Killoqua

Camp Killoqua near Stanwood is registering youth for summer resident and day camp programs.

Options include a traditional week at camp or special programs such as horse, archery and teen leadership camps. Financial assistance may be available.

Donor Closet offers medical equipment

The Multiple Sclerosis Helping Hands Donor Closet has more than 50 recycled scooters and power chairs for low-income disabled people.

Other medical items in inventory include hospital beds, lifts, bathtub transfer benches, shower benches, recycled and new wheelchairs and transport chairs, and walkers.

The Donor Closet is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 409 Howell Way, Edmonds.

Tax return help available at EvCC

The Everett Community College accounting department and AARP are teaming up to offer free tax preparation to middle- and low-income taxpayers, especially those who are 60 and older.

Tax clinics will be offered through April 15.

Appointments are available from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays in Rainier Hall, Room 104, Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St., Everett.
