Town hall meetings to discuss college

The Office of Financial Management and the University of Washington would like to hear from folks about recommendations for a new University of Washington campus in our area.

Two town hall meetings are planned so the public can comment:

7 to 9 p.m. tonight, Cavelero Mid High School, 8220 24th St. SE, Lake Stevens.

7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Marysville-Pilchuck High School, 5611 108th St. NE, Marysville.

Four town hall meetings have been held so far in Island, Snohomish and Skagit counties. The meetings in Lake Stevens and Marysville are the last to be held before the preliminary academic plan and site options for the new UW North are due to the governor and the Legislature on Nov. 15.
