Silvertips will visit Granite Falls
Jamie Sagerser, Americorps Vista worker at Monte Cristo Elementary School in Granite Falls, said the Everett Silvertips will visit the school at 9:30 this morning at 1201 100th St. NE, Granite Falls.
Team members will visit for an assembly called “Kick-off for Literacy!” in the cafeteria. Granite Falls Mayor Lyle Romack will join the team.
“We have a pirate theme this year for our library, so they will be reading a story and talking about how hockey players, like pirates, may be tough guys, but they aren’t bullies and they love to read,” Sagerser said.
