Lake Goodwin growth on agenda
The Seven Lakes neighborhood group has scheduled a meeting tonight to bring the community up to date on planned developments near Lake Goodwin.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Lake Goodwin Community Club, 17323 42nd Ave. NW, Stanwood.
The McNaughton Group of Edmonds has applied to build 640 homes in 13 clusters north of Lake Goodwin. Two of these clusters have received preliminary approval from the county.
The McNaughton Group has also applied to the county for a rule change that would allow it to apply to build up to 1,700 homes in a so-called rural village. Or, the developer could scrap all those plans and apply to build a mini-city of up to 6,000 homes and 15,000 people.
