Programs set for Pearl Harbor Day
Today is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Programs are planned at 8:30 this morning at Naval Station Everett; at 11 a.m. at the SnohoÂmish County Courthouse, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett; and at 2:30 p.m. at Terry’s Corner Fire Station, 848 N. Sunrise Blvd., Camano Island.
Help children cope with flood stress
A free coloring book, “After the Flood,” has been developed by the American Red Cross to help children work through their fears and anxieties related to the recent flood.
The book is available at the Snohomish County Chapter, 2530 Lombard Ave., Everett, and at The Herald’s reception desk, 1213 California St., Everett.
Leave donated food on Lake Ki’s docks
Saturday is the annual Lake Ki food drive and this year it’s dedicated to the memory of Bob Freestad, unofficial mayor of Lake Ki, who died in June. Leave donations on docks for pick up by boat around 3 in the afternoon.
Donated stuffed animals to patients
Merry Haven Care Center, 800 10th St., Snohomish, seeks stuffed animals or baby dolls for senior residents to receive as Christmas presents. Please drop off donations before Dec. 18.
