Her family couldn’t afford the trip. Thanks to a spaghetti feed fundraiser Saturday, their goal was reached and the family gets their trip.

“Cinderella,” Brenna’s favorite princess, dropped by the festivities.

The family would like to thank everyone who made the event successful.

Gust blows away Red Cross sign

For those in search of the Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross, it might now appear as just another nondescript structure at 2530 Lombard Ave. in Everett.

A gust of wind during Thursday’s storm demolished the large Red Cross sign that faced 26th Street and served as a visual landmark for people seeking help. Estimated cost to replace the roughly 4-foot-square wooden sign is $600.

Chuck Morrison, the chapter’s executive director, is hopeful the Red Cross will experience a windfall from a generous donor.
