Capturing the Olympic windfall

SnoGold 2010 is scheduled to host a forum from 1:30 to 3:30 this afternoon at the Weyerhaeuser Room at Everett Station, 3201 Smith Ave., Everett, to introduce businesses and organizations to 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics opportunities.

The free forum is open to all.

A panel discussion will focus on how businesses and the community can benefit from the 2010 Winter Olympic games in British Columbia’s greater Vancouver and Whistler areas. British Columbia’s 2010 Commerce Centre, the Tulalip Tribes and the Washington State Department of Transportation are among the panelists.

Mannheim Steamroller to play

Mannheim Steamroller offers a holiday concert at 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Comcast Arena at Everett Events Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Tickets range from $30 to $152.

In addition to new music, Mannheim Steamroller offers music from its six Christmas albums. Bring cameras to snap the 2,000-square-foot Christmas Village and costumed characters. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. For more information, go to comcastarenaeverett.com.
