Teens who continue reading through the summer can receive rewards through a program being offered at the Lynnwood Library.
The program, called Teens Read Through the Summer, rewards teens for submitting reviews of the books they’ve read. Participants can receive Everett AquaSox tickets, gift books or the grand prize of an iPod Nano.
The Fred Meyer Foundation awarded the library a $923 grant to help pay for some of the gift books.

Mill Creek seniors need computers
The Greater Mill Creek Senior Program needs help raising money to buy computers.
The senior program offers computer classes to Mill Creek seniors and other south Snohomish County residents. Since January 2006, more than 500 people have taken the classes, all of which are taught by volunteers.
In order to handle the demand, new computers are needed, said Bill Durham, manager of the Greater Mill Creek Senior Program. Estimated costs for the new computers is about $7,500, he said.
