Four U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jets and their pilots, just home from Afghanistan, are expected today at Paine Field.
They are set to arrive about 9:30 a.m. The planes will be parked at 8415 Paine Field Boulevard throughout their stay.
The F-15s will fly Saturday and Sunday afternoon as part of the Seafair celebrations in Seattle.
They are set to depart about 9:30 a.m. Monday.

See a free outdoor showing of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” beginning at dusk Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, just two miles south of Lake Stevens Frontier Village at 9613 20th St. SE, Everett.

Join Lavender Wind Farm and Island County Washington State University Extension in celebrating agriculture with a French flair. An Afternoon in Provence benefits an Agriculture Sustainability and Land Stewardship Program.
The program is planned for 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Lavender Wind Farm, 2530 Darst Road, Coupeville, Whidbey Island.

Road closes for block party
Hewitt Avenue from Broadway to Lombard will be closed at the Everett Events Center from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday for the second annual Martina McBride Block Party.
The event includes music, a beer garden and rides on a mechanical bull.
Admission to the party and the evening concert are free.
Listen to music from local bands and visit Les Schwab’s speed pitch, the American Family Insurance Spider Man photo station and the Everett Explosion’s Pop-a-Shot.
