No one needs rescuing in a boat or from the side of a cliff; it’s just the Coast Guard celebrating.
The Coast Guard will mark 217 years of service Monday by launching its “Saving Lives Since 1790” campaign at the 13th Coast Guard District’s picnic at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish.
The “Saving Lives Since 1790” campaign recognizes the Coast Guard’s role in “saving more than 1 million lives over the course of its long and storied history.”
The event is not open to the public.
