Everett Community College offers a free weeklong science and engineering camp for students entering the seventh, eighth and ninth grades.
Sessions of IDEAS (Increasing Diversity in Engineering And Science) Camp are planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 13-17 and Aug. 20-24.
The camp is designed to introduce students of color and girls to careers in science and engineering.
At the weeklong camp, students will get a chance to go on a marine biology field trip and build rockets and bridges.
