It’s time for the annual Bike4Peace tour to Washington, D.C. Send off riders at a rally at noon Sunday at the Snohomish County Courthouse, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
There will be speakers and entertainment.
The ride promotes bicycles as peaceful transportation and is billed as the impeachment tour. After the program, there will be a march with banners in downtown Everett.
Pack dessert for Mill Creek picnic
The Mill Creek Senior Center is planning a picnic lunch at Kayak Point Park in early August.
A van is scheduled to leave the senior center at 9 a.m. Aug. 8 to bring people to Kayak Point. The senior center, at McCollum Park, is at 600 128th St. SE in Everett.
Participants are asked to bring a side dish. Hot dogs, beans, coffee and pop will be provided.

Youthnet needs school supplies
Youthnet, an agency serving at-risk children and families, seeks donations for the annual Back to School Supply Drive.
Kids need basic items such as paper, pencils, crayons, calculators, backpacks, notebooks, rulers, glue sticks, felt pens, markers, folders and spiral notebooks.
