A new vaccine that helps prevent HPV, a disease that can lead to cervical cancer in women, is causing controversy.
Last year, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the vaccine for girls and women age 9-26. The disease, human papillomavirus, is a common sexually transmitted disease that also causes genital warts.
Some people are reluctant to use the vaccine because it’s new. Others believe any tool that might protect themselves or their children is good.
How do you feel? Do you want your daughter to be vaccinated? Do you have a plan?
