Everett Pearl Harbor ceremony Sunday
Naval Station Everett will offer its annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday.
It honors those members of the Armed ÂForces who experienced the Japanese attack that brought the United States into World War II.
The formal portion of the ceremony is planned for 9:50 a.m. on the Naval Station Everett waterfront and will feature a wreath being dropped into the water.
An informal gathering is planned for 9 a.m. in the Building 2000 lobby before proceeding to the pier.
All veterans are invited to attend this event.
Arrive at the main gate, 2000 W. Marine View Drive, between 9 and 9:15 a.m. Inform the gate guards that you are attending the Pearl Harbor Remembrance event and you will be directed to the Building 2000 parking lot.
No special identification is required.
NAS Whidbey will honor Pearl Harbor
NAS Whidbey Island joins the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11 and the Pearl Harbor Survivors’ Association, North Cascades Chapter 5, to honor those killed Dec. 7, 1941, in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
The public is invited to attend at 10 a.m. Friday at the Crescent Harbor Marina on the Seaplane Base, 260 W. Pioneer Way, Oak Harbor.
In remembrance of the 2,403 U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Army and civilian men and women who died 67 years ago, survivors will place a wreath into the waters of Crescent Harbor.
Donate stuffed animals at Motel 6
Motel 6 hosts a Great Teddy Bear Roundup through Friday.
Each Motel 6 plans to donate the toys to law enforcement agencies, fire departments, hospitals and child protective agencies to be used to comfort children during stressful or traumatic situations.
Drop new teddy bears in collection boxes at any Motel 6.
Church offers Christmas music
Maltby Congregational Church hosts a family Christmas concert from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 21111 86th Ave. SE, Snohomish.
Enjoy traditional Christmas and seasonal music, including audience sing-alongs.
Admission is free.
