Mill Creek offers free ID software
Visit the Mill Creek Library today and Wednesday for free software to help keep children’s identification on file.
Free child digital IDs will be handed out from 10 a.m. to noon at 15429 Bothell-Everett Highway, Mill Creek. The software was created at the request of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and is distributed by Farmers Insurance.
Pink Prom coming to Everett college
The Pink Prom for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth is planned for 8 p.m. Saturday at Everett Community College’s Jackson Center.
The fourth annual event is for ages 14 to 20. The cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple when tickets are purchased by Friday. Tickets at the door cost $20 per person and $35 per couple.
This year’s theme is “Alice in Wonderland,” with the prom emceed by Rusty Waters with music by DJ Ray Aberle.

Make a good poker hand for hospital
A 5-K 5-Card Poker Run, Walk, Bike is planned for May 10 at Langus Riverfront Park, 411 Smith Island Road, Everett.

Playing cards will be handed out along the trail and the best poker hands win prizes. To improve your hand, additional cards will be available at the finish line for $5.
Name sought for college center
Everett Community College seeks a name for its new $52 million Undergraduate Education Center, scheduled to open in 2009.

The college’s policy is to name major state-funded buildings after peaks of the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges that surround the region. The Arts and Sciences Building, which opened in January, is named Whitehorse Hall.
The Undergraduate Education Center building is the second of four new academic buildings planned for the campus.
