The annual mail carrier food drive is set for Saturday.
Letter carriers will collect nonperishable food items, such as canned goods, left by customers along their routes. The food goes to local charities.
Since its beginning in 1993, the drive has collected nearly three-quarters of a billion pounds of food.
Take a walking tour in Snohomish
The Snohomish Historical Society plans an hour long walking tour of historic downtown Snohomish at 10 a.m. Saturday. Meet at the Waltz Building, 116 Ave. B.
Warner Blake will lead the tour of Snohomish’s historic business district.

Church offers help for single moms
Clearview Foursquare Church offers a free Single Moms Car Care event from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 17210 Highway 9, south of Snohomish.
Car work includes oil and filter change, tire and fluids check, and car wash and vacuum.

Goat show in Stanwood
The 10th annual American Dairy Goat Association sanctioned all-breed junior and senior dairy goat show opens at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Stanwood-Camano Fairgrounds, 6431 Pioneer Highway, Stanwood.
A Boer goat show and a pygmy goat show are also planned.
