Mill Creek studies small annexation
Mill Creek is considering annexing a pair of neighborhoods just outside the eastern city limit.
City planners are studying whether it would make financial sense for the city to annex the Stonehedge and Webster’s Pond neighborhoods. If annexed, the two communities would add about 175 homes to the city.
Representatives of the two neighborhoods have already collected pro-annexation signatures from more than 60 percent of their residents.
Although the neighborhoods abut Mill Creek’s boundary, people who live there have Snohomish ZIP codes. If the neighborhoods are annexed, Mill Creek’s eastern city limit would run evenly along Seattle Hill Road.
