Blake Lewis from Bothell is one of the top nine contestants on Fox’s “American Idol.”
Fans, friends and family of the finalist will gather to show their support for the contestant during a live broadcast of the show, organized by The Blaker Girls, Lewis’ official fan club.
Band Panda Conspiracy, whose members are also friends of Lewis, will perform.
Doors open at 7 tonight at Kenmore Junior High School, 20323 66th Ave NE, Kenmore.
Bothell will proclaim April 11 as “Blake Lewis Day” at the April 10 City Council meeting.
Senior center asks for bus-buying aid
The East County Senior Center is seeking donations to buy a $55,000 bus so that the center can provide bus service for seniors.

Bothell changes passport times
Bothell changed the hours it provides passport application processing services. Apply from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Bothell Municipal Court, 10116 NE 183rd St.
Passport processing currently is taking up to 10 weeks. People who need passports sooner should use the U.S. Department of State’s expedited service, which reduces processing time by about four weeks.
Passports cost $67 for people age 16 and older, and $52 for people under 16 years old. There’s also a $30 execution fee, and a $60 charge for expedited service. Payment must be made using personal checks or money orders.
