Members of Silver Lake Kiwanis are donating dictionaries to schools.
Last week, Silver Lake Kiwanis delivered dictionaries to all third-grade classrooms at Lowell Elementary School in Everett, the first of five schools that will receive a total of more than 600 dictionaries.
Third-grade classes at Silver Lake, Silver Firs, Penny Creek and Cedar Wood elementary schools also will get books.
Earline Bowman, president of the Silver Lake Kiwanis, said the club’s mission is to help the children of the world.

Correction
The cost to build Edmonds Crossing, a planned ferry terminal with bus and train connections, increased $42 million from 2006 to 2007. A story and a headline that ran Jan. 25 on page B2 incorrectly stated a higher increase in the project’s cost.
