The Everett School District will hold classes all day Monday to start making up for days lost to snow and ice.
The day previously was scheduled as a staff training day.
Families were notified by letters and phone calls over the weekend. Everett has yet to decide on other snow make-up days.
Also, the end of the first semester is now Feb. 2.
Jane Ballard shares health indicators
Jane Ballard of the Snohomish Health District will be the featured speaker for the Human Services Council of Snohomish County.
The council meets at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Washington State University Cooperative Extension Offices and Educational Center, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
There will also be an election of board members for 2007.
Musician to play for seniors today
Musician Jyl Westbrook will perform music from American composers and old-time fiddle classics at an Americana Hour for Snohomish seniors.
The free event will occur at noon today at the Snohomish Senior Center in the lower level of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1514 Pine Ave.
The event, which had been scheduled in November, was canceled due to snow and ice.
