Famed coach speaks in Everett
Ed Pepple, legendary basketball coach at Mercer Island High School, is the guest speaker for the Everett Boys &Girls Club fourth annual Alumni and Friends Luncheon.
Pepple used to work for the Boys &Girls Club in the late 1940s and early 1950s in Everett.
The event is planned for noon Wednesday at 2316 12th St., Everett.

Red Cross has talk on crisis response
SnoPIN, Snohomish County Public Information Network, hosts a meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday about responding in a crisis.
It will take place at the Red Cross office, 2530 Lombard Ave., Everett.
Red Cross public information officers Mar Tobiason and Kris Krischano plan to talk about how trained public information officers in Snohomish County help the Red Cross during a crisis.
Learn to decorate your home with art
An interior design event is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo.
Kelly DuByne will discuss how to decorate a room using art as a focal point.
Bring your piece of art to the meeting, hosted by the Mukilteo Arts Guild.

The public is eligible to enter their vehicles strung with lights in this year’s holiday parade in Marysville.
The Electric Lights Parade at this year’s 20th anniversary Merrysville for the Holidays Winter Celebration is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6.
Entries must be received by Dec. 3.

Lions Club to hold benefit crab feed
Lake Stevens Lions Club is planning its annual crab feed for Nov. 22.
The event is scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. at North Lake Middle School, 2202 123rd Ave. NE, Lake Stevens.
The price is $20 per person for all you can eat, with proceeds going to Lions Club community projects, including for the sight- and hearing-impaired.
