Learn about taking in a foster child
There are not enough foster homes in Snohomish County for all the children who need loving parents.
So many children, victims of abuse and neglect, came into the foster care system last year that many were sent to Yakima, Spokane and Yelm, said Julianna Kindlund-Carpenter, the Region 3 coordinator for Foster and Adoptive Home Recruitment.
“They are moved away from everyone and everything they know and in many cases even away from their siblings,” Kindlund-Carpenter said. “Your help is needed.”
Learn how to help at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at Bethany Christian Assembly, 2715 Everett Ave., Everett.
