Five players from the Seattle Seahawks will visit Naval Station Everett at 2 p.m. Tuesday to sign autographs and pose for pictures.

Grant Wistrom, Lofa Tatupu, Craig Terrill, Michael Boulware and Joey Hollenbeck will meet with sailors, civilians and family members.

An Everett sailor e-mailed Wistrom and asked him to visit the base. Wistrom said he “would be honored to come to the base and sign some autographs.”

The third annual Sharing the Caring luncheon is planned for noon Thursday at Bethany Christian Assembly, 2715 Everett Ave., Everett.

Guest speaker Dr. Eric Petrie from the University of Washington will speak about Alzheimer’s disease and its effects on family caregivers.

There will be a silent auction and health care information. Three caregivers will be honored.

Master of ceremonies will be Snohomish County Sheriff Rick Bart and Carolyn Eslick, deputy director of Northwest Women’s Business Center.

This is a free luncheon organized by Katie’s Adult Daycare and Respite, a nonprofit organization, and friends.

Everett Community College offers Eyewitnesses to Horror: Surviving the Holocaust.

The presentations are open to the public and are from noon-2 p.m. in EvCC’s Baker Hall 120, 2000 Tower St.

The schedule of speakers:

Wednesday: Robert Herschkowitz retraces his childhood odyssey from his homeland of Belgium to a French concentration camp and over the Alps to Switzerland and safety.

May 10: Gail Elad speaks about the courage of her father, who smuggled her out of Poland.

May 24: Thomas Blat recounts how he, a Sobibor survivor, participated in a successful prison camp revolt and cheated death a number of times during World War II.

Speakers were arranged through the Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center in Seattle.
