Dress in your patriotic best.
Customers transporting fireworks on ferries should put them in plain sight for screening by dogs trained to sniff out explosives. Drivers and other passengers carrying fireworks should anticipate and allow for screening time.
“Your cooperation and timely response to making your fireworks available for inspection by our canine teams will assist us in keeping our printed schedule,” says Traci Brewer-Rogstad, director of marine operations.
Those hoping to watch fireworks from the deck of a ferry should consider viewing areas on shore or near the ferry docks.
Visitors to the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest are reminded that using or possessing fireworks of any kind is illegal on all federal and state-managed public lands in Washington throughout the year, because of the potential fire danger.
