Seahawk hot dog bidding levels off

As we wrote recently on Page A1 of The Herald, Stacey Houtary of Arlington and a few friends are selling a Qwest Field Super Dog from the NFC championship game on eBay.

Bidding ends at 6:31 p.m. today.

At 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the high bid for the wienie had plummeted to $1,800.

The Super Dog cost $5 at the stadium. It’s vacuum-sealed and stored in a freezer.

For anyone who thinks this is silly, check out eBay and do a search for “Seahawks hot dog.” There is a promised hot dog from the Super Bowl for sale, and a sketch of the hot dog up for bid as well.

Wear red Friday for heart health

We don’t know if Seahawk colors will overtake this idea, but Friday is the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day.

It’s a national movement to wipe out heart disease, the No. 1 killer of both men and women.
