The Snohomish Conservation District is taking orders for tree and shrub seedlings until Feb. 10. You can order fir, hemlock, pine, dogwood, cedar, shrubs and ground cover.

The plants will be available for pickup at the Monroe Fairgrounds March 3 and 4, and there will also be a general sale on those days.

Each year, the district sells more than 90,000 tree and shrub seedlings for wildlife habitat, reforestation, Christmas trees, wind and visual screens, and erosion control.

Break dancers at EdCC tonight

The Breaking Point Dance Co. will perform at 7:30 p.m. today at Edmonds Community College as part of the city of Lynnwood’s Fantastic Fridays Family Entertainment Series.

The performance will take place on the second floor of the Triton Union Building at 20200 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood. Tickets will be available at the door, but seating is limited. Admission is free, but donations are requested.

The Breaking Point Dance Co. was founded in 2002 and has performed all around the country.

Monroe hospital sets health fair

Valley General Hospital’s annual health fair, “Walkin’ in the Rain,” will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Health screenings and booths will be set up in the hospital’s lobby, as well as at Sky River Medical Center. Free health screenings will include body measurements, osteoporosis screening, blood pressure and body composition analysis.

Valley General Hospital is at 14701 179th Ave. SE. No registration is required.

Everett TV 21 airs MLK celebration

Everett TV 21 is airing the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration with speaker Sherman Alexie through Feb. 22 at 2 and 9 a.m., and 1, 6, and 10 p.m.

Everett TV 21 can be viewed by cable subscribers within the city limits.
