The Adopt-A-Stream Foundation’s Streamkeeper Academy offers a winter nature walk at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Northwest Stream Center – Adopt-A-Stream Foundation, McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
Walk through a wetland, learn some tricks for winter plant identification and see how the wetland does its work storing water and providing habitat for a variety of animals. Cost is $4 for members and $6 for the general public, with advance registration.

Lynnwood Fire Corps meeting set
The Lynnwood Fire Department plans a meeting for those interested in joining the volunteer Fire Corps program at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the fire station, 18800 44th Ave. W.
Fire Corps is a newly established group that aids the Lynnwood Fire Department by promoting fire and life safety programs in homes, schools, businesses and community groups.

Follow-up event on youth summit
The Granite Falls Community Coalition is inviting residents to a follow-up meeting for the Granite Falls Voices of Youth Summit.
The meeting will address issues raised by young people at the summit, such as undesirable or illegal activity in local parks, zero-tolerance policies, law enforcement and teen violence.
