A harvest dance Friday night at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Snohomish will host students from the developmentally delayed program at Centennial Middle School, Snohomish Freshman Campus, Snohomish High School and the Transition Center in Snohomish.
Students and their parents are encouraged to come in their Halloween costumes.
Milgard Manufacturing in Marysville is sponsoring the dance. Employees will decorate the hall; set up karaoke; supply pizza, soft drinks and sweets; and make goody bags for the students to take home.
Disabled youth forum is Friday
The Parent Family Coalition of Snohomish County offers a public forum on developmental disabilities at 11 a.m. Friday at Floral Hall in Forest Park, 802 Mukilteo Blvd., Everett.
It’s an opportunity to meet with legislators and discuss services and issues that affect those with developmental disabilities.
For more information about the free program, call Lori Flood, 425-258-2459, ext. 7.
Tell The Herald about your barn
Do you have a barn? If so, The Herald wants to hear about it for an upcoming story. Is your barn used in the traditional sense, full of crops, tractors or cows? Or is it used for a living or working space? Is it a vital part of your property or just storage for old car parts, spider webs and stray cats? Whether your barn is full of history, falling down or completely renovated, we’d like to know more. E-mail reporter Jennifer Warnick at jwarnick@ heraldnet.com or call 425-339-3429.
Gather Saturday to support troops
An Operation Support Our Troops Rally is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Hewitt and Colby avenues in downtown Everett. Bring flags and support-our-troops signs.
