Snohomish chamber promote community
The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce is set to have its first Community Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 27 at Snohomish Station, a new shopping center along Bickford Avenue.
Event organizers are encouraging community groups to set up displays, promote activities and seek volunteers.
Those who want to participate must fill out an application form and send it to the Snohomish Chamber of Commerce.

Feral cat project needs donations
A project to spay and neuter feral cats in Darrington needs help.
Homeowners and business owners with feral cat problems can contact Leslie Boyd by leaving a message at Town Hall, 360-436-1131.
Boyd offers help in trapping cats, getting them spayed or neutered, and then releasing them.
Boyd’s project also needs volunteer help and donations of blankets, cat carriers, towels and cash.

Arts council helps promote gardening
The Arlington Arts Council’s Art at The Plant Farm is set for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The fine art show includes a variety of art by the members of three north Snohomish County guilds: the Arlington Arts Council, Stanwood-Camano Art Guild and the Greater Marysville Art Guild.
Live music is also planned, as well as plant displays, espresso and kettle corn.
The event is at The Plant Farm at Smokey Point, 15022 Twin Lakes Ave., Marysville.

Skate park makes time for families
The Marysville Parks and Recreation department sets times at the Marysville Skate Park for younger skaters and families.
Family skate days, for children age 12 and under and their parents, are 9 a.m. to noon weekends. The park, at 1050 Columbia Ave., is open 9 a.m. to dusk, seven days a week.
Hours are self-Âmonitored, with occasional support from city parks staff.
