The Everett Yacht Club’s annual Lighted Boat Parade begins at the North Everett Marina, at the end of 14th Street off W. Marine View Drive, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and proceeds up the Snohomish River, back by the marina and on to Mukilteo.
Any boaters may participate. Register from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the club, 404 14th St.

Volunteers serve Sultan’s hungry
On Thanksgiving, the Sultan harvest group provided 113 in-house dinners and made 60 to-go meals, thanks to the help of 23 volunteers who also received meals.
They cooked 150 pounds of potatoes, 64 pounds of dressing, five gallons of green beans, five gallons of gravy and 232 pounds of turkey. They gave away 84 stuffed animals, 51 blankets, 43 hats and 97 coats.
The Dutch Cup Restaurant provided its kitchen to volunteers to roast several turkeys and make dressing.
Hawks’ quarterback visits Bothell school
Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck plans to visit Shelton View Elementary School in Bothell this morning for “NFL Take a Player to School,” a JCPenney Afterschool Program.
Hasselbeck will pick up contest winner Ben Johnson in a limousine from his house and take him to Shelton View, speak to students about the importance of education and offer football instruction.

In an article about small dairies, published on Page B6 Saturday, the Associated Press misspelled the family name of the Kozaks, who operate a farm on Vashon Island that produces small quantities of unpasteurized raw milk.
