Bus to M’s game with senior center
The Lynnwood Senior Center is offering rides Monday to Safeco Field to see the Seattle Mariners play the Boston Red Sox.
Let them do the driving and parking. A ticket for the ride and the game costs $29 for senior center members, $34 for nonmembers.
Already have a ticket but don’t want to drive? You can arrange for just the bus ride.

Barbecue benefit to aid sick baby
Firefighters are planning a barbecue to benefit a family with a newborn son born with a heart defect.

Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission seeks paintings, prints, drawings, miniatures, calligraphy, photos and three-dimensional works for its 30th annual Juried Art Show.
Entries are due Monday. More than $3,000 in cash awards and art merchandise is available this year.
Artists should submit entries as digital photos saved to a CD. Mail them with the entry fee of $10 per piece (limit of three entries per category) to Friends of the Arts, 5303 228th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043.
The 30th annual Arts of the Terrace Juried Art Show is Sept 27 through Oct. 4 at the Mountlake Terrace Library.

Cheerleaders hold Snohomish clinic
The Snohomish and Glacier Peak High School cheerleaders offer a cheer clinic for students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade at 2 p.m. Friday at the Snohomish Freshman Campus gym. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. The cost is $25 and participants receive a T-shirt, a red-white-and-navy pompom and a snack.
Participants will have the opportunity to walk in the Kla Ha Ya Days parade with the cheerleaders and the band at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Proceeds go to purchasing cheerleading uniforms and transportation to games.
