Nominees must be Everett residents or have had a significant, long-term impact on the arts in Everett. Past recipients include Gene Nastri, Dorothy Jayne Wright, Carl Gipson and GTE Northwest.
The recipient will be recognized at an awards presentation and will receive a piece of original artwork purchased through the Richard Wendt Endowment Fund.

Remember electrical safety as fall arrives
As the weather cools into fall, the Snohomish County PUD reminds residents to remain cautious while outdoors.
* Never climb trees near power lines;
* Keep ladders away from power lines;
* If a power line falls on your car, stay in your car unless your engine catches on fire. In that situation, jump out of your car, landing with both feet on the ground and shuffle at least 20 feet away.
In a lightning storm:
* Try to get inside as quickly as possible;
* Do not hide under a tree to get out of the rain;
* Do not use an umbrella;
* Keep away from pools, lakes and other bodies of water;
* Stay away from tall or metal objects.
For more information on electrical safety, go to www.snopud.com or call PUD Customer Service at 425-783-1000.
