Taste of Everett celebrates diversity
“A Taste of Everett – A Taste of the World” will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Family YMCA, 2720 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
Along with food, there will be booths by Satori Martial Arts, Needful Native Things artwork, the Refugee and Immigrant Forum, Familias Unidas, the Everett Mayor’s Youth Council, the Communities of Color Coalition and the Human Rights Coalition for Snohomish County.
WSU will offer ‘informatics’ degree
Washington State University has received approval from the state Higher Education Coordinating Board to offer a bachelor’s of science degree in “informatics.”
Informatics involves information systems design and development, systems management, information research services and corporate strategy.
Correction
The average number of boardings on Sound Transit’s Everett-to-Seattle Sounder train service is 585 per day, and was about 300 per day before a second Sounder train started in June. A story on Page A1 Wednesday listed those figures as weekly averages.
