EVERETT — A family of four was displaced after a fire Saturday evening.
No injuries were reported.
Crews from Fire District 1 and 7 responded to a 6 p.m. call to a house located at the 2600 block of 130th St. SE, just east of Everett.
When crews arrived, they found smoke and flames coming from the garage, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for District 1.
The family and their pets were not at home at the time. The cause of the fire is believed to have been electrical, Hynes said. It took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.
The estimated damage of $85,000 made the house uninhabitable. The family was planning to spend the night with friends, Hynes said.
The house was insured.
