BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS — Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the Pentagon has “no interest in hiding anything” on last year’s mass shooting at Fort Hood.
Gates told reporters today that the military will supply Congress with information so long as it doesn’t impact the prosecution case.
A Senate committee has accused the administration of stonewalling and threatened to subpoena documents by Monday.
Gates says the prosecution of the suspect, Maj. Nidal Hasan, is of primary importance to the Defense Department. Thirteen people were killed in the rampage last November.
