KENT — The Kent Fire Department says a fire was caused by a portable generator too close to a home where it was being used because a power outage.
It ignited the cedar siding about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
Four people inside got out safely; one was treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation. A firefighter also was treated at a hospital and released.
