Would George, Washington, tell a lie?
The Grant County town claims the pie title for its annual Fourth of July celebration when the Georgettes pull out their 8-foot-square pie pan and add filling and topping.
Organizer Debby Kooy told the Columbia Basin Herald that if you want to get technical, it’s really a cobbler. The pie weighs about half a ton and serves more than 1,500 people.
