The edge of winter is upon us.
With rain forecast to fall in the lowlands this weekend, snow is expected to fall in the mountains.
No snow is forecast to fall on Stevens or Snoqualmie Pass through Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Mountain temperatures are dropping into the 30s at night, however, and snow is forecast on Stevens Pass on Monday.
The state Department of Transportation advises drivers to be prepared for winter conditions.
