Girl, 3, found dead in Auburn, mother arrested

AUBURN — A 21-year-old woman has been arrested after her 3-year-old daughter was found dead in their Auburn, Washington, home.

Auburn police say they receive a report Tuesday night of a mother performing CPR on her daughter. When officers arrived, they found the girl had died.

Investigators noticed significant bruising on the child’s body and arrested the mother for investigation of homicide.

The woman’s 2-month-old daughter was placed in protective custody.
