Girl, 6, injured after being struck by car in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — Police in Lynnwood were investigating an accident Sunday in which a 6-year-old girl reportedly fell out of a car as it was making a turn from a parking lot and was struck by the same vehicle.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on 64th Avenue W, just north of 200th Street SW.

The child was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Her condition was not immediately known.

Police closed roads in the area while they were investigating, Lynnwood police Sgt. Sean Doty said.

The driver was cooperating with officers investigating the accident, Doty said.
