STANWOOD — A girl who died in a one-car accident Saturday near Stanwood has been identifed as Ellen Rose Floyd, 17, of Stanwood.
The girl died of head injuries, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office said Monday.
Floyd was a passenger in the vehicle, a Ford Mustang. A young man who was driving the vehicle was injured in the crash. His condition was not available Monday.
The two were northbound on Old Pacific Highway just south of 300th Street NW shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday when the car left the road, Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Rick Hawkins said.
Floyd was thrown from the car and died at the scene, Hawkins said.
