EDMONDS — Police are investigating the deaths of two young girls and a man after being alerted Monday afternoon to e-mailed threats of suicide.
The victims were found just before 1 p.m. when police went to the home of a 50-year-old Edmonds man. He reportedly had e-mailed friends and family minutes earlier, threatening to kill himself, Edmonds police Sgt. Debbie Smith said.
The man was found in the backyard with a single gunshot wound to his head. Two girls, ages not immediately available, were found dead inside. It was not immediately apparent how the children died, Smith said, adding the girls were believed to be the man’s daughters.
