Gold Bar man jailed after alleged drug sales at park

EVERETT – A 25-year-old Gold Bar man was arrested recently after he attempted to sell drugs to children at a skate park in Snohomish, police said Sunday.

The man was being held Sunday in the Snohomish County Jail for possession of illegal drugs and possession with intent to distribute, according to Snohomish Police Chief Gordon Wiborg.

Police received a 911 call about 3:50 p.m. Thursday from someone who said a man was trying to sell drugs to kids at the skate park in the 200 block of Pine Avenue. When police arrived, a crowd of 50 to 75 young people directed police toward the man, Wiborg said.

The man tried to flee in a car but was detained by police. The man was allegedly in possession of marijuana and several other illegal drugs, including sedatives.
