A bill allowing golf carts to travel on some public roadways is heading toward the final stop of its legislative journey – the desk of Gov. Chris Gregoire.
Today, the state Senate took final action on Senate Bill 6207 to let cities and counties establish zones in which golf carts can travel just like cars and motorcycles.

When the House approved this legislation last week it added a few rules including golf carts operated within golf cart zones must be equipped with reflectors, seat belts and rearview mirrors. Also, they required the tracking of accidents involving golf carts operating in golf cart zones.
