This Sunday, the Everett Events Center plays host to a different local team: Turning Point Church.
Turning Point Church, which usually meets at Marysville Junior High School, will offer two church services at the Everett Events Center while the school’s gymnasium undergoes some needed repairs on its floors.
“We love the school district,” said Judi Johnston, deacon and events coordinator for Turning Point Church. “They are resurfacing the gym floor, and we’re going to be at the Events Center, because at this point the size of our church needs a larger venue.”
This Sunday, pastor Mike Villamor’s current sermon series, “Into the Nations: Revival through Discipleship” will continue during regularly scheduled service times of 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Afterward, the church members and visitors are invited to go ice-skating from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for $2.
“It’s a time for the families to get together and play,” Johnston said.
Turning Point Church will offer its following church service at Asbery Field on Aug. 12 at the site of their Summer Jubilee and plans to return to Marysville Junior High by Aug. 19.
