PENDLETON, Ore. — Gov. Kate Brown is visiting Pendleton in her first official trip to Eastern Oregon.
Brown has two public events scheduled for her two-day trip to the east side of the Cascades.
She’ll tour a workforce housing project on Thursday and watch a training flight at the Pendleton Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Site on Friday.
Brown took over as governor on Feb. 18 after John Kitzhaber resigned amid an ethics scandal.
A spokesman says Brown’s previous public events have been in Portland and Salem. She’s also met with newspaper editorial boards in Corvallis and Eugene.
